An educated person knows crap when they see it

Margaret, I’ve never been one to hold my tongue and that’s not going to change now. Hillary couldn’t say it because she understands the office she aspires to hold. I, however, am not running for President. And therefore…

Donald Trump, you fat-ass, lying son-of-a-bitch. Hillary Clinton doesn’t need to give you or anyone else an explanation for her husband’s behavior anymore than Ivana, Marla or Melania need to explain yours. The idea of sexual assault that you promoted is not a distraction. It is an extremely important issue and to suggest otherwise tells me everything I need to know about you. You are the worst kind of man. You are a man who objectifies and belittles women. For God’s sake you thought it was funny that another man called your daughter a piece of ass.

William Jefferson Clinton is not on the ballot. Hillary Clinton is your opponent. And tonight she grabbed you by your tiny little Johnson and effectively ended this election. You will never be President. Bless your heart,  no matter how much you demean and belittle women, karma is about to be a bitch for you because women will be the reason you fail.

And Mike Pence, you are the worst kind of politician because you wrap yourself in your sanctimonious religious beliefs to legislate your will on others until your religion gets in the way. Then you conveniently kick it to the curb. Suddenly, now you are back on the Trump Train? So 24 hours is all it takes for you to dismiss  sexual assault?  As a reminder Mike, he said he can grab women by the pussy anytime he wants.  If that is what goes on in locker rooms then men should be ashamed. And for the record, Donald doesn’t look like he’s seen the inside of a locker room in decades.

Welcome to your new hell, Mike. Let us know how much you like being forced to carry something to term against your will.  Check for a heartbeat, dear.  You’ll find that Donald doesn’t have one.

The Republican party brought this upon themselves.  They spent decades convincing their base that government is evil, forgetting the whole time that they are a part of that government.  As a result,  the base gave you Trump and now you and all of us are stuck with him.

Donald, throwing your opponent in jail is classic dictatorship. No wonder you admire Putin so much.  You want to be just like him.  You are aware that the President can’t force his will on the people, aren’t you?  You don’t get to toss people you don’t like in jail.  You don’t even get to grab women by the pussy.

The bullshit that comes out of your mouth is astounding. You can’t even keep your insults straight.  After months of claiming Hillary doesn’t have the stamina to be President, you ended the debate by talking about how much you admire that she never gives up and she is a fighter.  I am convinced your constant sniffling is a result of years sniffing glue. That seems to be the only explanation for the bizarre, nonsensical, disconnected stream of words that fall out of your mouth.  No one has more respect for women??? He said that.  No one?  Clearly anyone who doesn’t forcefully grab them by the pussy has more respect and I hope for damn sure that would be the majority of humanity.

This November the American people need to leave Donald Trump and Mike  Pence on the ash heap of history where they belong.  And please, for the love of God, let’s put Corey Lewandowski there too. I mean it.  Really.

It seems to me that He, Trump has always fancied himself a “player,” and maybe, to some degree, he has been. But what so often happens to a perpetual wannabe is that he/she runs up against someone whose ambitions, connections, and power are so much greater… And then the game is over.

The loser loses. End of story, except for pity…

Elections officials were using some kind of a new computer with a touch screen and the whole thing was no bigger than maybe 8 x 10 photograph. The computers were all on small “easels” pretty much at eye level for the user. No more huge ugly books to cross check ID and registration. It was all so super cool! They tell me they had an enormous crowd at opening time and expect more of the same after 3:30 today.
    Go Hillary!!!

  9. In the fervently-to-be-hoped eventuality that the Orange Thing is roundly defeated, and we will FINALLY be able to glory in the absolutely amazing fact that the US has elected our first Madame President…

That wondrous possibility has almost been completely obscured by the enormous amount of fetid excrement that has covered so much of these last months. And, now that I think of it, making us forget about that has probably been a good part of the point of doing it, hasn’t it?

I TRY not to be a vindictive person, but I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to the prospect of He, Trump’s finally being labeled, once and for all, and undeniably, as the LOSER he is. No one deserves it more.

I voted absentee a couple of weeks ago, having to travel outside the country. I am lucky I was not subjected to these past two weeks in the USA. I don’t know how I would have handled it. Even from outside, I have heard enough to make me squirm. I thank the heavens I did not have to suffer through the punditry. I felt for you all.

I pray for peace. I will stay up, I hope, to hear that Hillary will be our next president.

    (2) Reminding everyone in my community to get out and do the same, and offering a ride, if anyone needs one;

    (3) Printing up a bunch of pieces of paper with a phone number for “Election Protection”… That number is 1-866- OURVOTE, or 1-866- 687-8683. Not anticipating a whole lot of voter intimidation here in very blue Fairfield County, CT, but, hey, you never know…

    http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/10/juror_4_prosecutors_in_oregon.html

I hope the dang federal prosecution team reads and weeps and learns. They lost the federal gun charges because of how they went at this.
I haven’t looked round enough to know if the feds could have gone after them for destruction of government property and asked for fines to cover the costs:
    https://www.justice.gov/usam/criminal-resource-manual-1632-protection-government-property-national-parks-and-forests
Which, personally, I think would be a slap in the property-rights face of these creeps.
It was our property they tried to take by adverse possession- OURS.

as for rural America- some of it is simple, some not, but it is now a deep problem.
Factory farms, mining companies, big oil, national timber companies, etc have all taken away the ability of everyday people to provide for themselves except under the conditions the business folks want. (Here we see far too many outfits which are functionally factory fishing organizations in federal waters- I could go on for a week about that 🙂 )
Dependent on them for the only jobs, far too many folks buy the company line until too late ( Read about Libby Montana Superfund site or the Upper Big Branch mine disaster )
Urban America does a double whammy far too often- whilst decrying environmental and resource damage there’s not much but shrugging going on to address how to employ folks otherwise and talking down to folks who are scared. “Just move to the city” seems to be the prevalent theme here and much of the west. Sure. Fixes that right up. To her credit Ms Clinton seems inclined to try to deal with some of this.
There’s almost no way- even through gerrymandering- for rural areas to have a voice to be heard over the multitude of voices in urban areas.
The bicameral federal Congress gives each state , regardless of population,2 Senators which has a leveling effect against the lopsided effect of the population based House. I think it actually is a pretty decent setup.
However, the way bicameral State legislatures shake out doesn’t end up with that leveling effect. Here we have a State Senate seat for each House District which are drawn with roughly equal populations which means Anchorage and the valley near it control more than half of both houses.
Convincing ANC legislators that roads and schools and so on for anywhere else is important is a huge task.
This happens all over the west- look at rural California where the timber and fish are, same with Oregon and Washington, Nevada… the list is endless. Folks sit outside the hub of influence and watch state legislatures ignore them, big business abandon them when resources are gone, and their urban neighbors who often make THEIR livings based on the work and resources of rural areas sit on their hands. Having to rely on deaf ears to have any say is an exercise in frustration and for to many, futile.
Why folks blame the fed for all this confuses me- it starts much closer to home, but I think there is an enormous need to look at what is going on. It directly affects about half the country’s people, whether they are straight on the whys or not.

And then there is Director Comey who swears that what he mumbled was not politically motivated when it is known that he financially supported previous R candidates for President! Oh, tell me another one! Tell me that the world is flat! And I still know it ain’t!

Unfortunately too many folks don’t read below the headlines. Its what Comey didn’t say that is actually important. A further, deeper read would reveal that Hillary is not the #1 object of this “hunt” even though it may sound like it. Seems that there is a hunt on for emails from Anthony Weiner to his soon to be ex wife that is actually main point of this exercise. Damn 24 hour news cycle! Hope Monday morning brings clarification and egg on Trump’s face after all the blathering he has done about this. His campaign manager Kellyann isn’t smart enough to gag him and lock him in a closet. He only hurts himself worse and worse every time he opens his mouth. Hillary is ahead in the polls and the folks who have supported her from day one are still with her. I do understand that rural America is suffering, as is the “rust belt,” miners, and so many others. And sometimes the government IS a participant in their wounding. But am I wrong and thinking that it’s primarily when government colludes in allowing Big Ag and other mega-corporations to proceed unrestrained, permits heedless destruction of land and water resources (to benefit those corporations), fails to enforce worker protection legislation, and on and on…?

As you so wisely said, it is to be hoped that this ruling does not give other “vigilantes” the notion that they can just proceed and do whatever the heck they want. But it probably will…

  45. There are at least 2 things to keep in mind about the verdict .
1- It is being spun as a verdict which exonerates the “protesters” . Don’t buy it. The primary charge was of conspiring to impede federal workers from discharging their jobs. I think this is a time when current law does not cover what happened there. Conspiracy is notoriously difficult to prove and proving these dips had anything like a notion of what their behavior actually resulted in would be impossible, let alone that they purposefully organized themselves to do more than shoot their mouths and guns off.
2-Rural America is bleeding folks . The list is long and the reasons are ignored. This blindness of urban America as to what is going on is allowing creeps like this to flourish.
I hope we hear from the jury but we may not.
This verdict must not be allowed to give these jerks a pass or any who follow them. If we have to have new law about trashing land owned by all of us and intimidating the people who work there to make your effin “peaceful” protest point- so be it.

  46. Hi, Mageen –

Ah, yes… “political protest,” with takeover and destruction of property belonging to all American citizens, with plenty of guns and ammo. If you’re an Anglo-saxon “cowboy,” no problemo. You’re “defending rural America,” whatever the hell that’s supposed to mean.

However, if you’re black, brown, or anything else, and burn and loot private businesses (guns or no guns) in an inner city, you’re toast – and probably dead.

And this on the same day that a “candidate” for the highest office in the land suggests that the election should be cancelled and victory “given” to Himself… (And no, I don’t think that’s “funny.”)

In both cases, the only thing being “defended” is someone’s personal grandiose vision of what he is convinced he is entitled to possess – and screw anyone or anything standing in the way – even the laws and founding principles of the country so ardently “beloved.”

“Why do you make me do these awful things to hurt you, when you know how much I love you…?”

Not a good morning, so far…

  51. Dear All…

I was just watching some replays of last night’s episode – in particular, a split-screen while Madame Secretary/President was taking her two minutes to talk about He, Donald’s treatment of women, both verbally and allegedly physically. (That, BTW, was a GD excellent piece of work on her part, IMO, and one of many.)

As I looked at He, Donald’s face, it became quite apparent to me that he has never, ever, in his entire sorry life, been so powerfully confronted by a woman – and probably rarely by another of his gender, either. And there was not a goddam thing he could do about it; millions of people were watching them both. This time, there were “witnesses,” far too many to be summarily discredited or denigrated.

(And don’t think for a nanosecond that Hillary didn’t know all of this well before she walked onto that stage.)

This time, He, Donald was not in a bus with some sycophant teevee “personality.” He wasn’t alone with that woman in one of his gilded palaces. He wasn’t at some noisy celebrity “event” for which he had paid. He wasn’t accompanied by several other strutting wannabe “alpha males.” His kids were near by, but this time even they couldn’t help him. So she just had at him, telling the truth, calmly and eloquently, for two glorious minutes.

Watching him, I saw, of course, the ever-present anger and indignation, but I believe I also saw – if only for a moment or two – some things I doubt he’s ever acknowledged knowing in his life: Fear, helplessness, the public display of his own impotence, and even… shame. I’m sure he didn’t know what the hell was happening to him, or how.

Is there a woman in the world who hasn’t known all these things, far too often and far too well?

He will probably never know what happened to him, but we do – and that’s what matters.

    It was magnificent.

  52. I am really digging this analysis on Vox about Clinton’s performance and strategy during the entire campaign, not just the debates.

As someone who grew up in a country were elections were rigged for decades, I am deeply affected by Trumps treasonous, if implied, threat not to accept the results of the election, come November 9th. It is true that his core following is roughly 35 million people across the country, but many–if not all–of those people are both deeply racist/misogynistic, and own guns. I do not think that instances of intimidation, perhaps even violence, from white supremacists, on voters at minority polling places, is out of the question.

This is what the GOP wrought–from the Tea Party to Trump to David Duke running for the Senate, there’s a clear progression, and they didn’t bother to address it.

If only the results affected only those Republican ‘leaders,’ I would not give a fig. Unfortunately, everyone else has to deal with these dregs now.

I’m guessing that it’s primarily – or only – those in He, Trump’s “base” who are buying that particular bottle of “rigged” snake oil. The rest of us will be out there casting our ballots, good American patriots that we are.

Agree! There were a few moments where I was hollering at Madame Secretary, “No! No! Don’t go there!” But those were few and far between. (My husband and I agreed beforehand that I would be permitted to yell at the electric teevee machine any time while we watched and ate our popcorn – and that he could tell me when he couldn’t stand it. Fair enough, IMO.)

All the post-debate conversation was focused on the Orange One’s saying he would “keep [us] in suspense” about whether or not he would “accept” the results of the election. WHO GIVES A FLYING F**K WHAT THAT POS WOULD “ACCEPT,” one wonders…

Those “serious people” were right to consider that to be very serious. I do, too.

Second thing that really pissed me off was the POS’ interruption saying, “Such a nasty woman”…

Not much commentary on that, but it certainly riled me up.

Been a GD long evening. Hope you all are well.

She, Hillary stood up to ninety minutes of this with grace, knowledge, focus, dignity, and class. Her opponent exhibited none of the previous.

  60. TERRIFIC article! There is such a monumental difference between realizing that one is part of a minority whose concerns can be addressed – along with the equally-valid needs of OTHER minorities – and taking an “it’s us or them” position. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that difference as eloquently presented as in this piece.

    Thank you for the link!

  61. And here’s a great article about Hillary Clinton’s voting ‘quiet’ majority:
“The greatest difference between the new silent majority and Trump’s noisy minority is that Clinton’s majority is a coalition of minorities, and it is self-aware about that fact.

Black voters, Latino voters, LGBTQ voters, Asian voters, Jewish voters, and all the rest demand respect and recognition from the politicians they support. But they are also tempered and realistic in terms of exactly how much respect and recognition a minority slice of the population can expect. African Americans were thrilled to have a black candidate on the ballot but vote for white Democrats all the time — including ones like Missouri Senate candidate Jason Kander who engage in elaborate displays of cultural affiliation with rural white sensibilities.

    ..

“To win as a minority, you have to learn to play nicely and work well with others. Clinton’s voters — and Clinton herself — have mastered that, and in doing so made themselves the new majority.”

Came to me this morning, and it’s true for me: If the last forty-plus years of MY life had been spent in the public eye – in politics and governing, no less – and every aspect of it examined relentlessly during all those years, I am sure I would come out MUCH less well than Hillary has… And I CERTAINLY could not claim one fraction of the public service she has provided to this country, through all of that.

Nor would I, today, likely be able to muster the depth of stamina, dignity, and restraint she has consistently been able to summon in this GD garbage dump of a “campaign,” confronted by an opponent who has no plan, no program, no human dignity, no morals, and no “agenda” other than wreaking destruction and revenge wherever he can, in a pathetic and hopeless effort to convince himself he’s “okay,” no matter what his father told him he was.

And then just let the other person think about how well they might compare.

  73. Gato, Pi, thanks for the hopeful words. I am thankful that the sociopath we have running against Hillary is basically self-destructing. The stance he took of running against Bill instead of Hillary baffled me. How does somebody who has cheated on at least two wives, and now I am inclined to believe after last week, on all three wives, use the serial adulterer argument against his opponent’s husband, who is not running from president? That did not seem very smart to me because that stance would only bring attention to himself. If his aim was to convince women that Hillary is not on their side for her husband’s philandering, I have news for him. Bill Clinton was elected, twice, even with his baggage because people knew he was smart, although not so bright with his bottom half. The worst for me is to have all these women he employs come on TV and insanely defend him and deflect when pressed. It is too absurd for words. Can’t wait till November 8.

He may have convinced himself but did he really think he convinced anybody else? Did he not realize the second he told Anderson Cooper that he never did any of the things he referenced on that tape that women he did them to will be coming forward?

Gato, I so get you. I am feeling a little discouraged right now too and I hope to God some of the optimismistic words you referenced toward the end of your post rubs off on me. May the good wolf win in the larger section of our population and may sanity prevail. How could somebody like him still have supporters? A rally was held for him this evening not far awayfrom where I am staying and I saw a college-educated woman I know, come out of the rally with Trump/Pence signs, which she loaded in her car, probably destined for her yard. That truly hit me in the gut. I was hoping against hope that my red state may turnblue this election, but it does not seem that may be in the cards. Women around here are his biggest supporters. What is it that people are not getting about him? His core supporters sure are diehard and their hatred for Hillary outdoes any of his misdeeds in their eyes. They don’t believe he has done anything wrong anyway. Frightening.

  81. Hey, Cynthia –

This looks like a very good article, but one which I cannot bear to bring myself to read this minute. Will try again tomorrow… If I can.

My guess is that we will be in “danger” for much longer than the next four weeks. IMO, we will be in danger for as long as everybody continues to talk about this sick and pitiful incarnation of humanity. As long as we continue to “discuss,” “analyze,” and even rant – as I have just done, and cannot seem to stop myself from doing – we are feeding him, and giving him power. Without our attention, he is nothing. Nothing…

That’s the thing about narcissists; they have no belief, themselves, in their own worth, so they must spend their lives trying to get that feeling of “worth” from others. It’s never enough.

Perhaps you recall a great Native American tale, which I can only paraphrase… A wise elder is speaking to his/her grandchild, and says, “There are two ferocious wolves in our heads – a good wolf, and a bad wolf. They are in constant struggle, and only one of them can win.”

The grandchild, understandably concerned, asks, “But which wolf will win?”

The elder replies, “The one we feed.”

Amen… And may the Universe help me to feed the Good Wolf.

What’s been going down the last few days has been on my mind, off and on, a good part of the day. As LeBron James said (condensed from a video interview), “This isn’t locker room talk; this is trash talk.”

I’d call it “pee-pee kaka talk” – the kind of thing that would get a toddler sent for a time-out by any responsible parent.

I’m in my early seventies. I grew up in the midwest; went to college and then moved to the West Village, in NYC, where I spent my twenties deeply immersed in the hippie/free love/”Sixties” milieu. I’ve travelled all over the country, and in Europe, the Caribbean, South America, Canada, and more. I’ve hung out with filmmakers, the publishing and fashion industries, motorcycle clubs, “worker guys,” pop music performers and agents, sailed on private yachts and watched the Grand Prix of Monaco from a private box at the start/finish line… I’ve been a “guest” at private parties hosted by anonymous “Middle Eastern oil magnates,” did a brief stint as a “show dancer” in a roadside bar, and took a Greyhound cross-country…

So, in my opinion, I’m no sheltered primrose. I have, in essence, “been around.” (Managed, somehow, to come out in one piece, too, I’m happy to say – and had a dang good time through most of it!)

And THE POINT HERE IS… In all of this, I NEVER heard ANY Testicle-Bearing Biped over the age of eight or nine talk the way He, Trump has spoken, and PUBLICLY, about women – not even at a Jimi Hendrix concert at the Electric Circus, in NYC’s East Village, at 4:00 in the morning, some night in the late Sixties…

But he’s not really talking about women, is he? He’s talking, as always, about himself. When he puffed about comments on the size of his hands, and said, “There’s no problem down there, no problem; I can assure you,” he was, in fact correct.

The problem is not “down there”… The “problem” is right up top, just under that hair-like assemblage he carries around. Unfortunately, it is evidently a “problem” shared by quite a number of our fellow citizens – a fact that He, Trump knows precisely how to exploit – as you have reminded me so well.

    Thanks for letting me rant…

So here’s how I see the “dilemma” for Trump supporters – although I have yet to hear a single one of them consider it such…

EITHER He, Trump has always been a lying, bragging blowhard OR he has actually done many of the things about which he’s crowed, and of which he’s accused – OR he really is an unrepentant sexual predator, just as he’s claimed he’s been. Nice choice, folks.

And I have yet to hear one of those supporters say, “Well, hell, yes, he could certainly grope/paw/fondle/forcibly “kiss” me/my daughter/mother/sister, because he’s rich and famous.” Or, “Sure, it’s okay if he doesn’t pay me for the work I did for him because he’s rich and famous.” Just don’t hear that…

And we CERTAINLY don’t hear a rousing chorus of, “I just can’t imagine He, Trump would ever do anything like that,” at least not from anyone with whom he doesn’t share a surname.

They finally have a chance to to do what they were prevented from doing years ago. The woman who was upgraded got up and went back to her previous seat.

Then there is the woman he assaulted in an elevator! There was no place for her to escape until the car reached a floor and the doors opened!

There will be more revelations. And Trump will finally and truly know what Karma means!

  97. There is a new story out just now that has been corroborated by a contestant. Apparently, Mr. Trump felt it was OK to barge into the dressing room of Miss Universe pageant members while they were dressing. He bragged as Beavis to Howard Stern’s Butthead on Stern’s show. I guess that may be a way of thinking of the two of them together – Beavis and Butthead, snickering about women’s naked bodies.

I shared with someone earlier today, Trump supporters who feel the audio of his sexual assaulting and harassing comments was an isolated incident are being naive. Plus, people who believe his saying this is not who he is as a person are being misled. This is precisely who the man is consistent with his history and this behavior continues today. People forget his pretending to be his own PR person on several occasions to brag about his sexual prowess to talk show hosts. Or, his discussion earlier this year about Ted Cruz’s wife and other attacks on women and the importance he placed on sharing the size of his genitalia in formal debates.

This man has been a poor candidate from the get-go and finally reporters are showing this man’s history of exploitation of people, whether it is for money or sex. It is no longer funny that he is this close to an election for President. Hopefully, he has met his Waterloo, but we should not count our chickens yet as stranger things have happened. Keith

How do you know that should this person become president, this person will appoint somebody to the supreme court that would uphold this person’s views on the subject of abortion? Do you know what this person’s views really are, regarding abortion?

How many unwanted babies have you adopted? Do you agree that we should care for mothers who have babies out of wedlock and also care for their babies? A good majority–make that, overwhelming–majority, of the people commenting here decided long ago, to vote for Hillary Clinton. And we did so, precisely because the Supreme Court is at stake, as is the Congress, and as is the equal protection under law of EVERY citizen of the USoA.

Versus, protection of fat white men who exploit others–including poor white people, which likely includes you–for their own benefit.

Oh and…no, there’s really no point wasting energy trying to educate the willfully blind. You go on, and do your bigoted, narrowminded you. The rest of us will look out for equality, freedom, and the other ideals the country was founded on.

  112. Cathy, when will you and other unchristians learn to stop believing in lies and WAKE up. This election is much more important than one issue. And everything you said about Hillary is false. I thought you would be adverse to lying but guess not. And it’s isn’t up to sanctimonious you to for Trump for anything. That’s up to all of the people he has wronged. The women he assisted, the people he scammed, cheated, and destroyed. He has no policies on anything. He says what you want to hear and as you are unable to sustain any level of critical thinking you lap it up. 80% and more of what trump says is false, lies, untrue. He is a sociopath, incapable of feeling. Do you really want to believe his lies? Of course you won’t do any fact checking because it’s difficult. You must think and one issue people like you can’t think past their nose. They’re stuck in neutral. Too bad. Do you even know any of the issues? Do you know that Trump has no idea how government works? He doesn’t know how a weapons system is initiated, bid on or how long it takes. He doesn’t know how those systems are paid for. Everything he brags he’ll do on day one won’t happen. Why? Not one can by law be done by the president. You obviously know nothing about government. Perhaps less than Trump. It IS NOT A CORPORTION AND CAN MOT BE RUN AS ONE. Get your head out of the sand. There is too much at stake here.

  113. Cathy Chats, do you as a Christian actually support a man who told you to go and watch a certain sex tape? And has followed that up by a public ccnfession of sexually assaulting women? And you are trying to pin a tag on Hillary Clinton with that baby body parts jive? My church took issue with Trump awhile ago and has doubled down since the sex tape insistence. Will be hearing about the public confession this weekend. In the meantime, I have not heard one word from my church against Hillary! And no we don’t worship old oak trees!

  114. It would be immoral and unethical to let Hillary win. Hillary who supports killing babies for their body parts! I will choose to show a Christian heart and forgive Donald Trump for his past mistakes and pray for him as he leads our country out of depths of depravity.

Don’t forget it was the third party Ross Perot who gave us the first Clinton. He took enough votes away from Bush to let Clinton win. So essentially by not voting for the only other person who has a chance to beat Hillary you will be voting for Hillary.

Hillary will say and do whatever it takes to win this election. She quotes Michelle Obama and hopes you forget that Michelle Obama was referring to her when she talked about taking the high road. The Democrats want us to forget that their party is the party who started putting Indians on reservations, led the KKK and voted 100% against women and blacks having any rights.

Liberal Democrats own the IRS, DOJ, FBI, EPA, 97% of college professors, etc. Save the Supreme Court – VOTE TRUMP!

  115. Kathy, know how you feel. I’ve noticed that my trump supporter friends are completely silent on politics. They have been betrayed, conned. In the first days of the campaign they supported who they thought trump was. Now that they have learned the truth, they’re stunned into silence. I’ve always known that Hillary isn’t perfect. She makes mistakes, ADMITS THEM, learns and goes on. She doesn’t repeat them as trump does. In other words, she’s human. And smart, well prepared, hard working and she came up the hard way. Hillary worked hard to achieve evething she has. I applaud her and I will proudly vote for our first woman president.

I can’t in principle be friends with people that excuse everything about this asshole that the Repubs have brought on themselves.

  123. When it rains it storms! This is true in Trump’s case. The women he had around him prior to the “debate” did not do him any good at all. Not that he will ever admit it! There are – unfortunately – legions of women in this country who have experienced a straying husband and no matter what they did as a result oftentimes only earned them nastiness from other snarky people so they identify with Hillary. Bill Clinton underwent therapy for his behavior. Would Trump even consider such a thing! Not in this lifetime! Bill is not on the ballot. Hill is. And every time Trump brings up Bill’s past he shoots his own self in his anatomy. Now he is being sued by a woman who has had a rape claim against him since she was THIRTEEN.

Could it get any worse for Trump? He’s sliding in the polls at an ever increasing rate of speed. His Trump Taj Mahal Casino closed its doors today in bankruptcy with 3,000 employees now on the streets. His other hotels are experiencing way too many constantly empty rooms. More audio and video is coming out between now and whenever showing that he is obsessed with certain perverted behavior. And his “core” supporters are his enablers! But Trump will never admit that. There are too many of them and they could turn on him in a parsec and physically trounce him for his betrayal. Better to pick on one woman! Real manly, right? What his supporters cannot realize is how mental types like Trump treat those closest in some way to him. Take a look at Herr Hitler and what he did to the SA (the brown shirts) after he took power. But,hey, thats only history and as far as his supporters are concerned, who cares about that!

What kind of man does what he did in addition to lurking behind her so menancingly? Not only that, he is getting his russian hackers to try to influence our election. That should be unacceptable to all Americans, but not much is being made of that fact. This election, more than any other I have witnessed has brought out the worst in humanity. 155. Hey, LTD – Yep; that’s probably just what will be tried. The real bummer of this mess is that He, Trump’s losing (please, gods, let it be by a stunning landslide) will in no way shut him up. (We can certainly “look forward” to – at a minimum – his becoming a “regular” on Faux, and, at a maximum, his own Sunday Morning Rant-A-Thon and blog and “news outlet.”)

FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE: A DEM MAJORITY IN THE SENATE. The House of Representatives would be nice, too. And every State and local office possible. VOTE!

SECOND LINE OF DEFENSE: A MEDIA BOYCOTT, in every form that needs to take. As long as we keep responding to every bit of “news” whenever the Orange One farts, the media will keep pumping it out. (This could be hard; I know I can hardly stop myself from expressing my outrage over and over again… Which is, I’m sure, apparent to everyone here!)

He’s an attention-grabber of the highest order. He will continue to do everything he can think of to get press – and those things will become more and more outrageous. He is totally without boundaries of any sort. Nevertheless…

NEVER click on any internet headline that includes his name; NEVER reply to any “article” about anything he does or says, and so on.(I once clicked on some intriguing trivial thing about Kim Kardashian, and it took months for the consequent endless bits to fade from my home page… Lesson learned.)

Those are my first thoughts… Other ideas?

  157. After last night’s debate, I had a thought, and I think this is the best place to put it. Trump is a vindictive looser. When he looses to Secy. Clinton, he will be relentless in trying to destroy her and her presidency. If he combines with what is left of the nasty republicans, he could make her successes fewer than that of Pres. Obama.

The R’s have tried to defeat Pres. Obama since his day one. Combine that with Trump’s version of insanity, this could get ugly.

How do we insure against this?

I am a former amateur athlete dating back to grade school. In my experience in various locker rooms, I have never heard such discussion in a locker room, nor in a business setting from a 59 year old man. To be frank, based on what I have read, his comments did not surprise me. I do disagree with the candidate as this comments define precisely the kind of person he is. Keith

How many times can he get away with this? We have to remember that our president will be dealing with all kinds of diplomatic situations. Will he insult every world leader that disagrees with him? 162. (I had posted a similar comment earlier, but it vanished 😦 )

The way the orange shyster stalked Hillary Clinton as she was answering the questions asked of her, was terrifying. Women all around the Earth know that feeling of a much bigger man menacingly looming over your shoulder. Drumf was trying to intimidate a woman who is vastly more intelligent, capable, prepared, and strong than he is–precisely because he knows he can’t beat her in a fair contest.

Then there is the, also terrifying, threat to jail his political opponent, should the drumfsterfire manage to win the election. I know neither he, nor his closest political advisors, realize that that kind of behaviour is that of totalitarian regimes (Putin, Duterte, Assad, Kim Jong-un, etc). And, because this waste of space and his cohorts appeal to the lowest common denominator in the USoA, neither do the bottom feeders who support him.

But there is hope, there is still hope, that some of the less rabid people who watched last night, and most of the undecided voters, will finally see what is at risk here.

A real apology involves personal responsibility, contrition, sorrow, (not just “sorry”), penance and atonement with hope to be a better person. A real act of contrition also involves a personal belief in a Power much larger than one’s self, but in Trump’s view, there just ain’t any such thing so why should be come anywhere close to humbling his mangy self. Hill was Class last night and he was roadkill. Better yet, he did it to himself. As for appearing with the four women, he’s not their champion. He really couldn’t give a hot damn. For that matter, IF there is a third debate Hill could fill rows of chairs with the women he has harmed! Does he not understand that? And that he has asked for it? Doesn’t play chess, does he! The best post-script came this AM: NBC has “suspended” his accomplice, Billy Bush. Better he should vamoose into that spare room on Dubya’s “ranch”! He could have shut Trump up by changing the subject. I wonder of Trump realizes that and hates the little twerp! But, after all, it was Trump’s choice to act like Trump. All things start in the brain and the heart speaks through the mouth. I guess Trump never heard of that either.
