Margaret, glad to hear that winter storm Jonas landed to your south. I hate to think of you being so north during the winter months. Of course, you don’t like my being so south come July so there’s that.
I guess we can both be thankful that we’re not in the Midwest where the Republicans have once again unleashed winter storm Sarah Palin on the unsuspecting citizens of Iowa. Good Lord but that woman is an idiot. I may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but that dimwit burned out eight Christmases ago.
If you are thinking about voting for a Republican this year, you might want to consider that the party’s front runner enthusiastically welcomed her endorsement while the guy in second place happily assumed he had a monopoly on that crazy. I mean if your big catch is Sarah Palin, I have to question the size of your pole and the potency of your bait.
Everyone on the right side of the isle is courting born again Christians as if that second birth gives them a second vote. Exactly what is it about that second birth that produces so much self righteousness? Sarah promotes abstinence but is yet to have a grandchild conceived in wedlock. She accuses Obama of being too slow to go to war, but then blames Obama for her military son’s post traumatic stress syndrome. The woman actually has a college degree in communications and yet has no command whatsoever of the English language. And all of this qualifies her to endorse a presidential candidate how?
Here’s a little secret I offer to the Republican Party and its presidential candidates: Sarah Palin is an idiot. Financial conservatism and smaller government might have some merit. But what the hell does any of that have to do with loving war and hating immigrants? Not to mention demeaning women, persecuting gays, suppressing voters and lying about Planned Parenthood… Put all those things together and it quickly becomes clear that your party is so focused on born again Christians that you have forgotten those of us who were born once and got it right the first time.
If the Republican Party lets go of the hate and stops using government to overreach into my vagina, I might actually consider listening to what they have to say about smaller government.
Of course, if Sarah Palin is your spokesperson then you’ve lost me even before the conversation gets started. I mean it. Really.

Sure. Because that’s easier to believe than just maybe Planned Parenthood is a good organization that follows the rules.
Look. You might not believe in abortion for any reason. Some of us believe it is an acceptable choice for multiple reasons. But that doesn’t inherently make PP a bad organization. They provide a legal service to women. In addition they do tons of free health care for the poorest women. Pap smears, well woman exams, cancer screenings, birth control, sex education.
They have been under the microscope for years and so far never been found to be what you so badly desire them to be.
In my opinion, they are doing the Lord’s work and nothing you have said suggests to me that you know more about this than I do.
Planned Parrnthoor is an excellent, charitable organization providing services that many charitable hospitals refuse to do based on their religion and not the religion of their patients. Charity hospitals judge. Planned Parenthood does not judge.
I’ll stand with Planned Patenthood every time. So far, they have never let me down.

Megan’s Law was only the beginning to bring to light the crimes and how to combat them on the internet..It does NOT only include children….read below. Each state has its own laws pretaining to harrassment, AND there are Federal Laws intact addressing this issue, as well.
STOP saying that this did not happen. My words were added to by the administrator or a hacker….( the local,state and even federal authorities can find out quickly through internet providers, through their experts, who this so called hacker is.) This will make this site more secure, when you see how it is handled.

There are many things that should be legal to help its citizens, but, are not.

Abortion throughout history has always been a choice and option.
PLANNED PARENTHOOD is subsidized through U.S.Government GRANTS, which NO ONE OBJECTS to providing gynecological services to low income women. The Planned Parenthood operation uses GRANT FUNDS to pay for THE SAME BUILDINGS to perform abortions. That IS the issue MOST taxpayers object to. They ONLY object to the USE of the SAME buildings being subsidized through U.S.Government Grants to operate the Abortion Clinics.
It is like the government will not subsidize or give credit to Catholic or Parochial Schools, but we have a right to go to any accredited schools, by law.
We have a right to abortion, the govt. just will not pay for it….NOR SHOULD IT SUBSIDIZE ANY portion of the operation that performs them. That is the thinking of the majority of taxpayers.

You do know Chrispy, that abortion has been an option throughout History, right? I mean you cannot possible be so blind as to believe this is a recent event. Women have taking birth control into their own hands since we climbed out of the mud. Every tribe, every culture and every country has a long history of women controlling their fertility. You also know that according to God’s own word that life does not begin until the first breath… Right? I suggest maybe you look for a more comforting religion, one that is not so cruel and harsh, especially towards women. Again, just take a good look at the TRUE history of Mankind. We have killed Men, women, children and “others” for centuries in God’s name. How about the almost complete obliteration of the Native peoples? We didn’t think twice about killing children or pregnant women. If HE didn’t come back and kick some ass back then, I doubt He is going to have an issue with safe, LEGAL options in our time. Now, I certainly do not speak for God or any Religion, but I do know our history and to put it mildly, we have some seriously messed up people!

Just because a law is enacted, does not mean it is right, or moral. Politics plays the largest part of why laws get passed. Laws are being written and are sometimes eliminated as fast as they are passes. It just depends on how much clout the writers have and to WHOSE advantage the rulings benefit.
More than the majority of Congress are mercenaries. They sell their vote to the highest fascist bidder.
Planned Parenthood has an agenda, other than helping poor women. They are a conglomerate, like any corporation, and use their clout to farm, and collect tissue to sell. It is done so under the guise of ” scientific study”.
There has been an animal found dead carrying a baby which had a human head ( I believe a cow, with the head of a human) I will serve up the link.
The ” scientific studies” using these ” tissues” may involve cloning.
Monsanto has, since 1999 full force, been working through another of their set up non profits, creating Genetically Modified seeds of many and maybe most vegetable and fruit plants we are lied to and frauded into eating, which have bacterias and insects, and God knows what else incorporated into their DNA. This cloning of animals and modifying animals is not beyond human conception, when you take into consideration, man’ ability to defile the very contents of plants our food sources. I will add the link of that information.
Planned parenthood is not ALL the good it is cracked up to be. They have always had abortion as a main agenda for unforeseen reasons to the average eye. They help with gynecological services to women, for sure, and THAT PART IS GOOD, but the real money making part of the operation, is off the abortion. I am sure there are good folks working there and good folks as patients, but their agenda has NEVER been honest.

From some of the entries on the blog, I am wondering if the pro-birthers have ever read a book called Guns, Germs and Steel. It does an excellent job of revealing why various places in the world are in such poor shape and why there is precious little they can do about it. Some of these places even get foreign aid from this country but it does little to change the basics. It just about carries the people in these places from day to day. And that day to day thing seems to be their entire future. Of course, these are the places that various people sneer at as lazy, etc. just like they sneer at people who are without resources of different types and the decisions arising from that situation.

strange. You did not read the entire thread. I complained ONLY after that happened. Would you have been upset, if someone said things that were not only added, in cyberspace, but incorrect, and lies. Anyone knowing me would know this was not written by me. 39 years a broker. I would not have used those words, nor are those my words, nor is any of it true. I did not read the comment until some time after it hit the blog.

I never would have thought such a thing could or would have taken place on this site, or any other. Why would someone want to destroy anyone like that? Those changes by editing and adding 4 sentences to my comment, was done with malice and is very slanderous to me. That can be damaging to an old grandma’s reputation! Slander can be proved, because it was done with malice of intent. It can be traced, too, down to the very computer that added the comment, including the server used.

Besides all that, the added 4 sentences had such a disconnect to the line of thought, of what I was discussing. It was just thrown in…out of place, into the comment. I spent my life as an unpaid social worker, helping those less fortunate, I have helped those in similar positions….the moderator knows me from my blogging and stole lines from some earlier comments dealing with issues women concern themselves with.
We have discussed the abortion issue to the nth degree, and every aspect of those poor women being victimized by the process. I see into average folks lives, to the degree that most people have no knowledge of. Poverty always creates a downward decline of civilization, and the opposite is suppose to create a more civilized behavior. That is not always true, is it? Sometimes affluence creates a smugness that closes off people, and destroys caring among the brothers and sisters, even more than poverty does. There is a lot creating the breakdown of society. Abortion has taken its place within the process of society’s breakdown. Chris – no need to comment to me as I will probably just scroll past anything you say, but it seems very odd that lines were added to your comment but then in that very same comment you talk about those lines being added to your comment. So what… You predicted that they would be added after you posted so you wrote about them in advance?

When I discovered my fetal abnormality I had a conversation with my God and we decided not to bring a severely unhealthy child into the world. I do not want nor need your blessing. And if you are right and I am wrong then that is my fate to follow and it concerns you not one bit.

It is not only killing, it is murder, according to the Word. Many of you choose to NOT accept this concept, but that is once again a choice that God allows for his creatures to make. He never forces his creatures to do anything. ONLY God has the right to make the end judgements. We must pray for one another, as no one here on earth is perfect. If Jesus was not accepted by His contemporary religious zealots, and we must understand that the Disciples were harassed, chased away, beat up, put in orison, and suffered numerous atrocities before they were mostly all killed, beheaded, and or crucified for their beliefs, so we can expect the same.
We are promised by his Word, to suffer for the sake of God and His Son, here on earth. We should not expect a rose garden of flowers thrown at our feet for proclaiming what Jesus stood for. And believe me, I have been showered with everything but roses from the majority of bloggers, here.
I have been called many nasty, ugly words, blasted, ridiculed and I have have had false witness stated against me, here at this site,too! The changing of my words in four sentences, proclaimed falsely against me.
Several of the 10 commandments have been broken in the many responses to me, here, but, that is ok. They know not what they do. God, forgive my brothers and sisters.

It is sad how evil motivates negative comments in a flash crowd style here and all over the internet. It does not seem right on site, but, continues to prevail. Once the cutting comments ball rolls, there it goes.
The administrators with their blog, diminish the worth of most everyone, but those who agree with their mentality. Innocent sarcasm is carried beyond fun and ridicules too many, too often.
The ADMINISTRATOR ( or a hacker, likely not ) of Margaret and Helen DID ADD 3 UNTRUE non connected SENTENCES to MY COMMENT concerning their negative behavior on this site. I will call two police officers friends, and ask how the slander, bullying and lies here perpetrated on me should be handled. I will also call our city and ask about this. The Missouri legislature was the one of the first ( or first) a to address cyber bullying, and takes this issue seriously.
An investigator can see who, from where the comments were added. That is the beauty of electronic surveillance, and internet security. All this can be traced. Look out, the person doing this, it will be traced to you!
It is truly against the law in Missouri to misrepresent oneself online and bullying others to cause damage to others. Megan’s Law was the first to address the internet and how cowards hide behind the screen causing ill to others. This seems to be the case in how my words were changed here.
I commented a week or so ago that the demeanor of the writer of this blog was more masculine than feminine; that most likely, an old woman would NOT be so verbally damaging to others during her later stages of life. Old women do not usually gain such joy from destroying others so viscously. We want peace and joy and giggle at silly little things, and rather have a ” live and let live” attitude, observing and chuckling at that which we cannot change in others.
One person commented some days ago, that the ship pictured as the logo of this forum with the two women on scooters…looked familiar and was possibly the ship her father served on in WWII. No one answered that question. That picture surely could have been cut and pasted from anywhere in the universe.

My son said the moderator, if possible, or a hacker changed my comment on this site,. Social interaction and being courteous, it seems, has become a thing of the past.
Are folks so internalized from being alone with their keyboards, with no real face to face contact with other human beings, that they loose connection with the brothers and sisters of mankind?
Why can’t people communicate, intelligently, without name calling, and acting like children? Why can’t people discus each others opinions and allow for other opinions? There is such an attack on this site, ( and elsewhere, online ) when anyone does not backslap and say “yea” to Margaret and Helen, or has a different opinion than the moderator. That “yea, yeah” seems like a robot response to every article. Discussing issues is called communication. Once an opinion is given, responses do come back, but, cruel, controlling, cutting, downright mean things need not be said.
When someone meets with a person face to face, hopefully, one would never treat anyone so cruel, as you see here on this blog. I have to say, this name calling and childish, violent strikes is what society has come to. It is so sad and happening all over the internet. Our society has become very violent.
People seem to have lost power in their personal lives and hide behind the screen taking their anger on anyone who happens to be there in print, at the moment.
We can all learn from one another. Intelligent, adults want to learn and grow. When I have information I wish to share, or an opinion, it would be nice to have adult interaction. It is like sitting in a kindergarden class, and the teacher just stepped out, and I am watching my classmates acting out.
More intelligent people LIKE being challenged, and learn from others. They yearn to learn. Exchange of information makes one grow in knowledge. I am always attacked by a flash crowd of angry people, because you all need to be part of a group. Mark, you are correct. Such immature behavior, especially for adult and more so, for older folks.

Your criticism of people you don’t like obviously comes from the dislike you have for yourself being a failure and all. Its easy to sit on your fine ass an make lewd remarks about other people you really know nothing about except for what you read in a magazine or newspaper that’s sole purpose is to highlight a person bad points. Maybe you investigate the person thoroughly, maybe check their good points before you trash them, only because they don’t fit into your slimy outlook on life.

Have often wondered about the jerky arm movements of the Sock Puppet. Why so? Well, I got to the point where when she opened her mouth and started spewing word salad, it got boring and I actually couldn’t hear her anymore. Then I noticed the jerky arm thing. Reminds me of neurological damage. And it is so obvious. Put that together with the extreme case of communicationitis and you get to a point where you just gotta say, Sarah, stop with the meth and alcohol for breakfast!

You just cannot get it through your sharp, pointy little head. Every woman who CHOOSES to get an abortion, gets a complete description of the procedure and the possibilities of being a tissue donor. The women are informed and sign a consent form. The ONLY time this does not happen is in YOUR world of fantasy and in the dark underworld where abortions are not legal. This is why abortion must remain legal, safe and available. No one wants an abortion anymore than you want 10-15 children. I suggest you look into history very carefully. When abortion is not legal and women are forced to give birth, orphanages start popping up all over, children are not cared for, have no hope and are forgotten. Peoples income goes way down because there aren’t enough jobs and those that are available pay little to nothing. Often the father just walks away from his family because he cannot support them. These children grow up in terrible conditions and are often mentally unstable with many conditions such as the inability to “bond” with others. The state and or country ends up taking care of these unfortunate human beings all the days of their lives because they cannot work, form bonds with others or even manage simple tasks. Most are on some form of medication for life. Take a look at reality, Chrispy, it happened recently, just 20 or 30 years ago in parts of communist Europe. Talk to some of those poor people, find out what it’s like to be unwanted by your parents, society and the world. I have talked to them, I have worked with them, it is horrible. Almost to a person if given the choice they would wish that their mother was given the option for abortion.

I agree, the govt. should take over the abortion operation,( since they made it a law in the first place ) and cut Planned Parenthood out of the money mix, especially using the huge amounts of govt. Grant monies provided, yearly.

Planned parenthood does NOT sell body parts. 99.9 percent of all abortions completed by PP are 9 weeks or younger, thus there are no “parts” only tissue. SOME of that tissue is used all over the world at medical research centers to help cure cancer, and MANY other horrible diseases that kill thousand of people each year. The other 1% are later term abortions, performed because there is a medical reason. Either the baby or the mother will not survive. Let me say that again…Either the mother or the fetus will NOT survive. And about 1% of those late term abortions WITH the mothers signed APPROVAL are used in medical research as well. The fetus has to be shipped to a medical center. That is what the cost is for, to cover shipment. It’s kind of like you winning a grand prize. When they ship you your new car, you bet your sweet bippy, you are going to pay for the cost of the shipping!
Grow the hell up, Abortion is NEVER done lightly and women are perfectly capable of making the decision themselves.

Actually, when you think about it, the Planned Parenthood operation agenda is much like the Nazi death camps for Jews of WWII. It had its agenda, while making money, ultimately ending with the eradication of a large portion of targeted segments of population. Our prison system in America is run with a similar agenda; using incarcerated, ( 40% of America’s population has been imprisoned in their lifetime? WTH? ) slaves to manufacture products at 95 cent an hour labor costs, and marketing them, making fortunes in doing so.
Planned parenthood uses women needing help, to get the baby parts to sell. One woman I linked to this site, a while back, running a private abortion facility, providing lesser amounts of birth control chemicals in the pills the distributed, ENSURING FUTURE PREGNANCIES…knowing well the mothers would come back again and again, providing a continuos stock of baby parts to sell for large profits. What an horror!

Not many, if any are against free healthcare for poor women. It’s the selling of baby parts and Panned Parenthood’s undermining promotion of abortion to get the huge numbers of FREE provided baby parts from poor women who feel they have no other recourse. That hidden agenda has been behind the operation of Planned Parenthood, not helping poor women.
Actually, I believe it iS illegal under the abortion federal law to SELL the fetus body parts….those caught NEGOTIATING the PRICES would be considered selling, even though they had been entrapped by those misusing by fraud their identity by the licenses presented. BOTH parties should be subject to prosecution…under SEPARATE FEDERAL LAWS, while the reporters should be praised for doing the under cover work, proving the illegal operation of the SELLING of BODY PARTS…
Planned Parenthood is such a HUGE operation throughout America…..FUNDED by TAX $ …and such a HUGE political slush fund for many being elected in Washington, no one wants to upset their apple cart and the promulgation of the wheels that run the cart. Planned Parenthood charges for the 300K abortions a year, THEN double dips AND sells the baby body parts. Quite a huge money maker, all under the auspices of HELPING poor women. That is a HUGE abomination to women, whether they want to keep their babies, or not. It is a complete FRAUD and our TAX MONEY should not pay that private so called non profit to provide this service to make their own money. The U.S. Govt. Funding of this money making operation should STOP. They DO NOT need to be govt. Subsidized. The U.S. Government should operate, with our govt. subsidies, its own death machine on those babies, and take the profit making Planned Parenthood makes UNDER THE TABLE, out of the hands of Planned Parenthood.

And, did y’all hear….the court in Houston decided that Planned Parenthood did nothing wrong – absolutely nothing. All that BS on that tape was just that made up BS! So, they did what any normal court would do, turned around and indited the accuser instead for being a bunch of liars and cheats and fabricators. Ha! Go court people!!!! That stupid woman, Willie, Jille, Dillie..whatever, can’t remember her name even, that woman that got herself fired from HP, said she doesn’t care who is right and who is wrong, she still wants Planned Parenthood shut down for the terrible sin of giving poor women healthcare. I went there for several years because I could not afford birth control pills and they would give me an annual checkup and sell me pills for $2.00 a month. I had two very sick children (younger son has since died), I was struggling to buy medicine for and those lovely caring women took care of me. Me. Saved me, they did. Never had an abortion, didn’t need to. They sold me birth control pills. God bless them.
